What types of air blowers does QuaSys supply?+
QuaSys Inc. supplies Roots/Twin-Lobe Blowers (Kay brand), Centrifugal Blowers (Everest, Swam), High-Speed Turbo Blowers, and Multistage Centrifugal Blowers to clients. Each type suits different flow-pressure requirements. Call +91 95408 15659 for sizing advice.
How do I select the right air blower for STP aeration?+
For STP aeration, key parameters are: aeration tank volume, BOD loading (kgBOD/day), oxygen transfer requirement (kgO₂/hr), diffuser submergence depth (for pressure calculation), and ambient temperature. QuaSys performs complete aeration calculations and recommends the correct blower model and kW rating.
What is the difference between a roots blower and a centrifugal blower?+
Roots blowers are positive displacement — they deliver constant flow regardless of pressure and are best for wastewater aeration (0.3–1 kg/cm²). Centrifugal blowers deliver variable flow with pressure — energy-efficient for large volume, lower pressure applications. Turbo blowers combine centrifugal action with variable speed drives for maximum energy efficiency.
Can air blowers be fitted with acoustic enclosures?+
Yes. Roots blowers generate 80–95 dB(A) noise. Acoustic enclosures with ventilation fans, access doors, and vibration isolation mounts reduce noise to below 70 dB(A). QuaSys supplies acoustic enclosure packages for all blower models supplied to India clients.
Do you supply VFD-controlled blowers for energy saving?+
Yes. All centrifugal and turbo blower models supplied by QuaSys can be combined with Variable Frequency Drives (VFD) for energy-efficient variable-speed operation. VFD-controlled blowers save 20–40% energy compared to fixed-speed units on variable aeration demand applications.
Grafil UF Membrane

What is the price of Grafil UF Membrane?+
Grafil UF Membrane pricing depends on membrane surface area and system configuration. QuaSys Inc. provides a specification-based quotation once we understand your flow rate and application — call +91 95408 15659 or share your requirement for a free quote.
What is the difference between UF and RO membrane?+
UF membranes have pore sizes of 0.01–0.1 micron and remove suspended solids, bacteria, and large viruses but do not remove dissolved salts. RO membranes (0.0001 micron) remove dissolved salts, TDS, and all contaminants. UF is commonly used as pre-treatment before RO to protect RO membranes from fouling.
How often do Grafil UF membranes need replacement?+
With proper operation and regular CIP (Clean-In-Place) cleaning, Grafil UF membranes last 5–10 years. Membrane life depends on feed water quality and operating conditions. QuaSys provides CIP chemical supply and membrane replacement services.
Can Grafil UF membranes handle high turbidity feed water?+
Grafil UF membranes can handle feed water up to 50–100 NTU turbidity with appropriate pre-screening. For very high turbidity (100+ NTU), a pre-filtration stage (sand filter or micro-screen) is recommended before the UF system to extend membrane life.
Does QuaSys provide UF system design and commissioning?+
Yes. QuaSys Inc. provides complete technical support for UF system design, module sizing, skid engineering, and commissioning for clients. Our engineers assist with operating parameter setup, CIP protocol, and operator training.
Grafil MBR Membrane

What is the cost of Grafil MBR Membrane?+
Grafil MBR Membrane cost depends on your STP capacity, membrane area, and system configuration. Total installed cost also varies with civil work, blowers, and automation included. QuaSys Inc. provides a project-specific quotation for India clients after understanding your treatment capacity — call +91 95408 15659 or share your project details.
What is the difference between MBR and MBBR technology?+
MBBR (Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor) uses plastic biofilm carriers in an aeration tank and requires a secondary clarifier for solid-liquid separation. MBR (Membrane Bioreactor) uses submerged membranes instead of a clarifier, producing much higher quality effluent (BOD <5 mg/L vs 10–20 mg/L for MBBR) in a smaller footprint, but at higher capital cost.
How often does MBR membrane need cleaning?+
MBR membranes require daily relaxation cycles (suction off for 2–5 minutes per hour), weekly maintenance cleaning with sodium hypochlorite, and intensive CIP cleaning every 6–12 months depending on mixed liquor SS concentration and local water quality.
Can QuaSys supply both MBR membranes and aeration blowers?+
Yes. QuaSys Inc. supplies complete MBR system packages including Grafil MBR Membrane cassettes and Kay Roots Blowers for coarse bubble aeration of the membrane cassettes. This eliminates multiple vendor coordination for your India project.
What flux rate should I design for Grafil MBR membranes?+
Design flux for Grafil MBR membranes is typically 15–25 LMH (litres per square metre per hour) for domestic sewage applications. Peak flux should not exceed 30–35 LMH. Our engineers calculate exact membrane area and sizing for your India project flow and quality parameters.

Can QuaSys supply complete STP/ETP equipment for a project?+
Yes. QuaSys Inc. is a one-stop supplier for complete STP and ETP equipment — including aeration blowers, MBBR media, membranes, dosing pumps, flow meters, UV disinfection, motorised valves, and sludge dewatering equipment. Contact us with your P&ID or equipment list for a consolidated quotation.
Do you supply equipment for STP retrofits and upgrades?+
Yes. QuaSys supplies retrofit equipment for existing STP capacity upgrades — MBBR media to upgrade biological capacity, screw press to add sludge dewatering, membrane modules to upgrade to MBR technology, UV to add tertiary disinfection. Contact us with your existing plant details and upgrade requirement.
What is the typical lead time for wastewater equipment supply to India?+
Standard stocked items (small dosing pumps, flow meters, motorised valves, UV systems) are dispatched to India within 3–7 working days. Engineered items (custom blower models, large screw presses, MBR membrane cassettes) have 4–12 week lead times. QuaSys provides delivery schedules at the quotation stage.
